Industrial Chic: Transforming a Corporate Office into a Creative Haven

BMG , the renowned creative company that has captured the essence of innovation in its imaginative projects, recently faced an exciting challenge: moving into a corporate office building. While many would view this transition as the demise of their artistic spirit, BMG saw it as an opportunity to create a space that defied the traditional corporate mold. The goal was to cultivate an environment that exuded rawness and edginess while remaining warm and inviting. With an ingenious blend of materials such as concrete, steel, wood, glass, and brick, BMG successfully transformed the office space into an industrial warehouse-like haven.

Breaking away from the conventional corporate aesthetic, the design team at LINES took inspiration from the vibrant energy of industrial warehouses. Concrete, with its rough and unpolished texture, formed the foundation of the space. This choice not only added an edgy element to the environment but also provided a robust backdrop for the team's creative pursuits. Steel, both in structural elements and furnishings, supplemented the industrial aesthetic, adding a touch of strength and longevity to the space.

To infuse warmth and approachability into the environment, LINES strategically employed natural materials. Wood was used extensively in the space, ranging from reclaimed timber beams to richly grained desks and tables. This earthy element provided a counterbalance to the industrial elements, creating a harmonious atmosphere that felt organic and inviting. Glass, known for its transparency and ability to reflect light, was strategically positioned to allow natural sunlight to flood the workspace, further enhancing the inviting ambiance.

As part of the innovative plan, the design team placed all of the main meeting rooms and the recording studio on a separate floor from the primary workspace. This segregation allowed for uninterrupted creative thinking in the main area, while providing a dedicated space for collaboration and brainstorming. This arrangement also catered to the practical aspect of soundproofing the recording room, ensuring high-quality audio production without disturbing the creative flow in the workspace.

The overall result transformation was a space that seamlessly integrated the rawness of an industrial warehouse with the functionality of a corporate office. A carefully curated blend of concrete, steel, wood, glass, and brick united to create an environment that oozed creativity at every turn. Far from feeling stifled or generic, this unique space breathed new life into BMG.
