Revitalize the old- Bernard Health Building
LINES inc provided assistance to a private owner in the renovation of an existing, abandoned historic warehouse structure, transforming it into modern corporate office space. This renovated building now features a total of 20 private covered parking spaces conveniently located on the lower level, along with two expansive floors, each measuring 20,000 square feet, a overlook mezzanine, and a roof deck with a view of the downtown skyline. The design intent was to rejuvenate the old structure, making it look new again while also updating the building to meet the demands of the 21st century. All lead paint covering the entire exterior and interior surfaces of the building was carefully sandblasted away, revealing the original, rich building materials of brick and sturdy heavy timbers. The structure had suffered from significant water and termite damage, which required extensive repairs. In addition, every window and door across the building needed to be replaced to ensure compliance with the new energy code
A pop up to the roof structure allowed for much needed interior light to the internal space, and created a mezzanine level for additional office space. the roof deck is accessed from this area.
